Devil On Both Shoulders is nominated for Blues Album of The Year by The Western Canadian Music Awards!  Winners will be announced October 14th, 2016.

NEW BAND!  Mayes has added a new full band to the 2015-17 touring schedule.  Her and Jay Nowicki have had years of success as an electric duo on stages across the globe, but with a new album comes a new sound.  Chris Carmichael, and Kyler Tapscott will take turns on lead guitar for Mayes with the rhythm section of Ryan Funk on bass and Jesse Millar on drums!

"AFTER THE SHOW", a documentary on Romi Mayes and long time friend and collaborator, Jay  Nowicki, played at CINEMATHEQUE in Winnipeg - October 9th, 10th and 11th, 2014! Filmmaker Steven K Johnson spent almost two years completing the full length documentary on Romi  and Jay, following their careers with a focus on the making of their 2011 album 'Lucky Tonight'. 

'After the Show' is a tribute to all independent musicians, chronicling the utter commitment to an art form where success is measured by creative persistence instead of widespread financial fame.
